CJ and Mac are in love. They’re in love AND they’re best friends. They’re in love and they’re best friends AND creative partners. As a life-changing deadline looms, the pair embark on their first magic mushrooms trip hoping to smash through the writer’s block that’s threatening their dreams. But as the clock ticks, they discover those dreams may not be as entwined as they thought.
Waiting for Mushrooms is an original play written by hk goldstein about young love, ambition and the space between us (or lack thereof). It swings open the wall of a 2010’s queer Brooklyn apartment to witness a couple on the precipice.
